Three healthy habits that are necessary for long-term weight loss

Weight Loss Advice: Many people lose a lot of weight, but few are able to keep it off for very long. They gradually regained some of their weight. What therefore should a person do to maintain their weight and avoid gaining too much fat? According to nutritionist Azra Khan, dedication and consistency are the keys.


The dietitian used Instagram to upload a video explaining why developing good habits is important for maintaining weight. She outlined three healthy behaviours that a person must maintain in order to stay at their optimum weight, including clean eating and exercise four days a week.


Focus on developing habits rather than getting to a certain weight because if you crash diet and take short cuts, the weight loss won't last. That's what Azra said in the caption.

She outlined three healthful behaviours that are crucial for long-term weight loss:

Be more physically active.
Make sure you walk 7 to 8 thousand steps per day to keep in condition.


There is no reward for exercising.
Establish a schedule for yourself and work out four days a week to maintain a healthy body.

As a dietitian, I can assure you that this saying is accurate: "Abs are formed in the kitchen."
Keep a balance between junk food and nutritious food.

"Eat clean, healthy food 80% of the time, and 20% of the time, eat what you believe is junk food, and you will be OK," she said in closing.
It's perfectly normal if it takes you some time to build these habits; however, start working on them right away.
