Learn How to Quit Drinking IMMEDIATELY! How to Maintain Sobriety for the Rest
It was the winter of 1998 and I was struggling with an alcohol problem. I had recently gotten into a minor car accident while drunk, and my wife was understandably upset with me. To avoid arguments, I had started drinking in secret, taking sips whenever my wife wasn't around. At work, I would even hide a bottle in the trash can under my desk to sneak a drink when nobody was looking. On this particular day, we were invited to my brother-in-law's house for my nephew's 4th birthday party. I knew I wouldn't be able to get through the evening sober, so I decided to drink beforehand. However, my wife seemed to be onto me and kept a close eye on me as we prepared to leave. As she went to the bathroom, I took the opportunity to down half a bottle of gin. We arrived at the party and I felt good, but a few minutes later I vomited in front of everyone. I remember the disgust on their faces, particularly the horror on my nephew's face and the shame I felt when I couldn't even look at my wife. That incident made me realize that my drinking had gotten out of control and was on the verge of ruining my life and marriage. I knew I needed to do something, but I didn't want to go to AA and be labeled an alcoholic. I just wanted a way to control my urges and stop drinking. Thus began a long journey of trying different methods and seeking help from doctors, life coaches, naturopaths, and former addicts. After many setbacks and relapses, I finally found a comprehensive method that allowed me to quit drinking and live a sober life.
